Mediation is a process where a neutral and impartial facilitator helps the parties come to an agreement. Mediation is a chance for the parties to decide the outcome themselves, instead of going in front of a judge and allowing a third party to make the decisions.
A mediator is a neutral and impartial third party. While they may be lawyers, during the mediation process they can not give legal advice. They are not arbitrators, and can not make decisions for the parties. A mediator is there to facilitate a decision made by the parties.
At Sims Mediation we mediate Civil, Small Claims, and Family/Divorce mediations. We can do online mediations anywhere in the United States, or in person mediations in the state of New Hampshire. We are private mediators, and can mediate disputes before a lawsuit is filed.
Our mediators are members of the National Association of Mediators. They have completed 48 hours of training, with additional internship hours. They have also completed 24 hours of small claims mediation training, along with additional internship hours.
Our rate is $150 per hour with a two hour minimum. The fee is to be split between the parties.
